Tolvsbo is tucked away between forests and lakes, where winter days can be very short and summer days seem endless. The air here still smells wonderfully fresh. You wake up to birdsong and the scent of pine. By day, you can explore nature, and in the evening, enjoy a campfire or a peaceful night by the water. Or, in winter, by the wood stove.

We love this place for its simplicity – and we love sharing it with our guests.

The Tolvsbo area is the perfect spot for nature lovers and adventurers. There’s something for everyone, in every season:

• Paddle canoe, kayak or stand-up paddleboard on the surrounding lakes and rivers
• Fish for pike, perch or trout (fishing licenses available locally)
• Cycle or mountain bike through vast forests and along quiet lakes
• Hike marked trails – from short walks to day hikes
  – Our inn is located on the famous Romboleden pilgrimage trail!
• Golf on a course near Fagersta
• A fun activity for both young and old: disc golf
• See moose and deer early in the morning or at dusk
• For the real thrill-seekers, water skiing and go-karting are nearby
• In winter: ice skating, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing (20 minutes to a small slope, 40 minutes to a large slope), snowshoeing
• For the youngsters, you don’t have to go far from Tolvsbo – endless fun with outdoor play, dam building in the creek, berry picking or just discovering all that lives in the forest.
