Tolvsbo is hidden between forests and lakes, where the days are sometimes very short in winter and never seem to end in summer. Here the air still smells wonderfully fresh. You’ll wake up to birdsong and the smell of pine needles. During the day you can explore nature and in the evening you can enjoy a campfire or a quiet evening by the water. Or, in winter, by the wood stove.

We love this place for its simplicity – and we love sharing it with our guests.

The Tolvsbo area is the perfect place for nature lovers and adventurers. There is something for everyone, in every season:

• Canoeing, kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding on the surrounding lakes and rivers
• Fishing for pike, perch or trout (fishing licenses available locally)
• Cycling or mountain biking through vast forests and along calm lakes
• Hike on marked trails – from short hikes to day walks
  – Our inn is located on the famous Rombo pilgrimage trail!
• Golf on a green near Fagersta
• A fun activity for young and old alike: disc golf
• See moose and deer early in the morning or at dusk
• For the real daredevils, there’s waterskiing and go-karting nearby
• In winter: ice skating, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing (20 minutes on a small slope, 40 minutes on a big slope), snowshoeing
• For the youngsters, you don’t have to go far from Tolvsbo, there is endless entertainment with outdoor games, pond building in the stream, berry picking or just discovering everything that lives in the forest.
